Today, there are 39 networks "visible" in #Palestine; that's 11 less than early in October, when there were 50 ...

@sad_electronics there were 50 networks and now there are 39. so 11 networks become disconnected / not visible to the rest of the world. does this answer your question?
@becha I mean which type of network End user networks or ISP network?
@sad_electronics oh, ISP networks. you can see a list here: https://www.ripe.net/membership/indices/PS.html
@becha @nettime_mod @meileaben In addition, perhaps also interesting: https://pulse.internetsociety.org/blog/palestine-israel-conflict-impacts-internet-access
@becha @nettime_mod @meileaben Are these the AS in Israel or in the Gaza Strip?
@mark22k those are networks in "Palestine" . Networks in Israel: https://stat.ripe.net/ui2013/widget/country-routing-stats#w.resource=il&w.zoom_start=1697313300000&w.zoom_end=1697566800000&w.comparison=no
@mark22k please read the "caveats" on how we define "countries" & "visibility" of networks , in the linked post from nettime : mastodon posts are really too short for nuanced explanations & lots of links
@becha @nettime_mod @meileaben Can you explain it like im 5? I have zero experience with network tech.
