I’m wondering if an RP2040 can be used to replace an FTDI2232H as a JTAG adapter to program FPGA by leveraging the PIO. It would be cheaper and add some extra capabilities. But empty would lose the USB 2.0 transfer speeds.

@cibomahto Awesome! None in particular. I was just wondering if would make sense for manufacturers to replace the FTDI for the RP2040 in some circumstances where USB 2.0 are not necessary. I think the FTDI2232H is too overpowered for most board designs.
