After only 4 hours, I can draw lines, arcs, tracks, vias, and rectangular regions with pcbnew! Seems like this interface could be made a little more straightforward.

Aha, the temperature stability of a crystal is determined by the angle at which it is cut, and you should choose the angle that gives the best results over your intended temperature range (from: ctscorp.com/wp-content/uploads )

Using an E-field probe directly over the crystal's feedback resistor, I can measure the frequency directly and non-invasively. Results are about the same; ~10PPM variance over the meausrable temperature range

The RPI2040 with a generic 12MHz crystal has a weirder variance over temperature than I expected. The measurements are repeatable, but might be off by some % since my equipment isn't calibrated.

Excited to see so many peppers growing in our tiny window garden. Thanks @quixoticgeek for the plants!

Our FDM printer had gotten extremely loud, and I thought I needed to replace the bearings or something. Just putting some foam under it was enough to reduce it ~15dBA, and now I can hear the raindrops outside again.

How about a temperature logger, that generates a handy PDF report that you can copy off of it over USB? The longer that I look at this, the more I like it. pcsensor.com/product-details?p

Terrible routing, or heck yeah now i can take a long weekend

One the transistors are plugged in the right way, the new POV thingy works

The DIY AOI inspection bot is getting closer to being useful. The vision system is reasonably well calibrated, but the x&y axes have ~0.5mm of backlask 😬
