I upgraded the Dropbox app on my Mac when it prompted me to upgrade and I noticed fileproviderd (AppleOS) went nutso on my CPU immediately. I woke up this morning and it was the same way.
Dropbox support was responsive but not helpful. Then I decided to redownload and reinstall the app and the problem just went away.
I'd like to switch away from Dropbox to something opensource, but it has been so useful from Linux, AppleOS and Android. Suggestions welcome!

@edsu @brainwane I like @nextcloud You can self host it, it works with the iOS Files app, and on MacOS it shows up as a folder in my home directory. Also works on android and Linux.
