Fun fact: the USS Enterprise-D requires 1,014 crew... five people to run the ship, and 1,009 A/V technicians to make the viewscreeen work.

My absolutely amazing hackerspace friends in NYC are part of this effort that is successfully supplying hospital staff with needed PPE. In this link you can both send donations and gets schematics for making equipment for the hospitals around you: charity.gofundme.com/o/en/camp

I'm sorry, NL, but you have a dreadful food guide (De Schijf van Vijf). It's too complex to be useful, while also promoting commodities over health. Here is an actually useful guide (the one I used to use with my patients) translated into Dutch: hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsour

This is pretty fun for language learning.. fill in the blanks in lyrics as you follow along with music videos: lyricstraining.com/

Today I learned that Siri will tell you knock knock jokes.

How to escape your house for a bit: gather a crew and fly the Enterprise

It's hard to do fun workouts when stuck inside without a gym and I need to have a GOAL right now for motivation. So, .. handstands? I know an amazing coach who has years of experience teaching women how to do handstands, and she has an online program. Random tips from her instagram have been incredibly helpful for me, so I trust her full program would be great. Anyone want to join me for her building blocks class? 1. The job you were told couldn't be done remotely can be done remotely

2. Many disabled workers could have been working from home, but corporations just didn't want them to.

3. Internet is a utility, not a luxury.

4. Universal healthcare is a necessity.

Y'all, omg, if you want to save money on your crossfit membership just go find a non-mechanized farm and volunteer there instead. I think I did a thousand deadlifts today, and lots of farmers carries wtih buckets of sand and gravel. I even got some tire flipping in (well, large drainage hoses, but similar size/weight). 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

Anyone on here interested in developing a distributed/federated social project? Or is anyone working on anything right now? I'm not seeing anything searching online.

Ok I posted that horrifying plastic article.. and then I happened to find these food containers. Lighter than glass, leak-proof, and dishwasher-safe I'm using them for take-out and doggie bags from now on. I just filled one with water and shook the heck out of it and it didn't leak. 👏🏻 ecolunchboxes.com/pages/blue-w
