@jon Hey, when you’re done with trains can you do ferries?? We’re trying to avoid flying and are going from Amsterdam to Ibiza. Rail portion of the trip went great, but the Barcelona to Ibiza ferry has been a mess and we haven’t even boarded yet. If you look up reviews of GNV and Trasmed you can get a taste of the misery, but here’s the absurd bit.. they’re going to make us take a BUS to that boat outside across the street.

First time in Barcelona. Positives: Good transit, some quaint streets, hot hot hot, some pedestrian avenues with incredibly tall trees that make you feel like you're in a utopian solar punk future. Negatives: Every inhale gives you a lung-full of car exhaust, cigarette smoke, and gutter fumes. This place will be paradise when they ditch the cars for bikes.

This tandem is technically a quad. The person in the back steers.

Loved these ancient tandem trikes in the Fiets Museum in Nijmegen where the person in the front rides bicycle-style and the person in the “coach” in the back had pedals and hand cranks.
