People sometimes ask me what the right cadence for TMNT is.

It amazes me how much data various companies have on us. How they can target things incredibly specifically.

Then I get an advert for a robot lawn mower. And am glad that they aren't very good at it.

Thinking about #Twitter banning #Movetodon when it would have stopped working in about a week anyway. Seems like Mastodon is back on the radar, and seen as a threat. That's good!

@heartles reminded of the youtuber i watch who unironically said the words 'sandwich lubricant' about mayo

HEY FOLKS HEADS UP
VERY important recall has just been issued:
Artificial Tears Lubricant Eye Drops, distributed by EzriCare, LLC and Delsam Pharma.
The product is NOT safe to continue using if it is within the recall due to bacterial contamination with Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
TO STATE HOW SERIOUS THIS RECALL IS:
To date, there are 55 reports of adverse events including eye infections, permanent loss of vision, and a death with a bloodstream infection.

Shouldn't the buildings be perpendicular to the curved surface? Rather than vertical like this? If the sphere spins to create gravity, then the direction of gravity will be perpendicular to the surface of the sphere. As depicted, these buildings effectively have a slope...

In this case the Mayor does need agreement to place signs on Surrey's network. However, the ULEZ boundary has areas within the GLA boundary so drivers can turn around and "escape" and so the Mayor doesn't need Surrey's cooperation. It just means less advance warning which can be left at Surrey's feet. Pathetic really.

Exactly one year ago today, a certain formerly-feral kitty felt brave enough to explore our master bedroom for the first time.

What he found there blew his little street kitty mind.

That's right: today is the first anniversary of Napoleon discovering duvets exist.

I don’t know if “climate activist” is really the right way to put it. Like, if I’m drowning and trying to come up for air, I’m not suddenly an “oxygen activist”—I’m literally just trying to stay alive. Maybe addressing climate change shouldn’t be viewed as an “activist” position.

Excuse me i was led to believe there would be 99 of these "red" balloons?

Oncoming pickup driver swerves around a parked car (red) on his side of the road, full into my lane (see green line for my positionI have to evade him. I give him the finger for that.

Amazing business genius moves in the last few weeks:

- piss off your power users who post a lot and create tons of content by shutting down access to the apps they use (with no deadline or warning!)

- piss off developers by shutting down the API (one week deadline, yay!) to ensure no new integrations and apps are developed

This is will certainly ensure the future well-being and growth of the company and user satisfaction,,

The ONLY acceptable way to do a Gladiator sequel is to have TV's The Gladiators go back in time to try and save The Gladiator.

In doing so, they return to find they have created an alternate timeline where Rome still rules the world.

So TV's The Gladiators have to go back in time AGAIN to fight The Gladiator and kill him.

I honestly don't get why Netflix won't take my calls.

It's 2023. "Gosh, we didn't realize how people would misuse this" just isn't believable anymore.

Bare minimum, with any new tech:
1) How would a stalker use this?
2) What will 4chan do with this?

And don't release, not even as alpha or beta, before mitigating those risks.

The Ernest-Bazin, an innovative aquatic roller skate that could have revolutionised shipping if only it hadn't struggled to revolve its own wheels.

It appears that the eponymous Bazin failed to appreciate all the ways that water can hate you. It's... quite the list.

The fediverse is essentially what happens when predominantly white counterculture communities, such as anarchists, communists, furries, very online LGBTQ+ people, and so forth, want to decouple themselves from their responsibilities to the rest of society, and basically end up reinventing the same system all over again, except this time with a different ruling class, and under the guise of 'safe spaces' and similar social justice language.

Different technology, same systemic problems.

The latest @notjustbikes video made me realize how much of the infrastructure I think of as normal was added just in the last 5 years.
