@th That's an unusual error isn't it? It doesn't seem to be complaining of a read error - is /dev/sdc the drive you think it is?

@penguin42 there's a chance something has re-ordered the drives, although none of them appear to have a `mdadm` header. I've read that some UEFI firmware will *helpfully* install a GPT header on a raw drive, which might be what happened since there appears to be a partition table.
