This really neat flex PCB adapter for SOIC-8 chips would make for a much lower-profile spispy flash emulator connection for semi-permanent installation compared to the giant chip-clips. github.com/fgervais/project-so

@js if you spend too much time waiting on `flashrom` programming cycles, you might be interested in the spispy to emulate the flash instead: trmm.net/Spispy/

@th Though, I would like to have both ;). At the end, I do want to conveniently flash the working firmware onto several notebooks.
