@th If you every make it to Glasgow, the Fulton Orrery is pretty neat. Its geartrain has over 170 wheels, so is a tad more complicated
@th Wow!! Do you think it could be fully 3D-printed? Or is the rigid frame essential?
@blinry the three side supports will be 3D printed, although I'm having problems with the printed main shafts not adhering well enough under torque. There are some snapped ones in the pile of gears photo...
After printing dozens of test gears, the first fitting is close enough.
