So at the Titan Missile Museum tour today, we looked at the file cabinet that contained codes to verify the authenticity of nuclear launch orders, and I was like, surely these cabinets weren’t secured by combination padlocks that can easily be shimmed with an aluminum can? I asked during Q&A and was told I was correct, but the tour guide didn’t know which type of locks were used.

@yaelwrites more modern safes use the self-powered X10 lock that are a total pain to open due to their randomized numbers.
