@davidfetter that’s the point of threat modelling. Their upstairs neighbour, for instance, has a slightly more risk adverse profile.
@th I guess the aversion to risk has a model where "somebody steals whatever's in that structure" is weighed as a bigger risk than "can't get to the stuff that's in there," which could easily go the other way.
Your point about how explicit risk models are super important is well taken. :)
@th just not letting that door swing open easily could very easily be the problem the system pictured is there to address. Without more context, it's a bad idea to heap scorn on it.
