Had fun at de Klimmuur Amsterdam Centraal last night, although apparently my harness and belay technique are both antiquated.
@doc my climbing gear dates back to when photos were in B&W and the "universal belay standard" hadn't been invented yet.
@th I don’t know for sure, but have been told the stitching on my harness will only be good for something like six years or so. Then again, if you have the original cast iron harnesses from the medieval period, you’re probably fine once you scrape the rust off. 😉

@th what do you mean, did they not accept a doubled-back figure eight knot for securing to the harness and an eight for belaying?
