oh no the Mac Plus might require a load on the +12v line in order for the power supply to stabilize, which is problematic for running it without a computer attached

if the Mac's analog board wants to have the computer connected, that can be arranged..

@th

It isn't a proper computer build until blood has been shed

@th "I walked the earth in the days when no machine could be trusted if it had not been anointed with the blood of its creators. In the days before the network, before autocomplete, before undo, there was only blood."

@th Oh, the power / video connector of a macintosh? I hate that one, especially because of the tube above it.

@th Ooh, I used to work on those for a living ... in the late 80s.
That looks like a Mac 128k from this side, am I right?

@th Oops, I see 'Mac Plus' in the previous tweet

@th what's going on here? is your board driving the analog video stuff directly or is it using the mac's frame buffer somehow?

@ranjit I’m recreating my BBB PRU based Mac video interface in the fpga Pixel Wrangler so that the tiny B&W crt can be used as an hdmi monitor. The Apple mainboard is running just to provide enough load on the power supply.
