@th That model initially had an interesting feature where one could move from one adjacent carriage to another because the front had doors. This was done so rail catering (remember that service?) could move along the whole train to sell coffee and snacks.

@artelse@mastodon.social @th@social.v.st While rail catering is pretty dead, I did spot a "dinner train" a month or so ago! It appears to be a special ride, not a normal train doing a regular route, otherwise I'd certainly consider this as my train home when I've been to the office.
