SolveSpace is challenging to get started with, although maybe I can replace my OpenSCAD hacks with proper parametric design.

@th It gets very intuitive and fun as you go, I think (source: been making parts with it half a year now, waterjet + 3D print) -- there are a couple frustrating things, and I'm hopeful for https://dune3d.org/ to gain some traction, but...
@th things I'd say would've helped me starting out: make heavy use of symmetry and perpendicular lines w/ toggle construction, use step translating/rotating wherever you can, when you are doing a difference extrusion that you don't have a clear line of sight to turn on stipple occluded lines, try to overextend lines through an intersection point you want to split at because the behavior can be strange if you split at the endpoint of a line

@slowfallinward @th Developer of Dune 3D here 👋

Happy to answer any questions.

@th Keep going, it's definitely worth it. I remember watching the demo video for the first time, wondering what kind of magic f*ckery this is because it looked so effortless. It all started to make sense though after using it for a while.
