Was helping a user debug network on a Linux vm Today. As is expected. The issue was DNS. But when they went to edit resolv.conf, they found it had +i set in xttr.

Why on earth would you set +i resolv.conf?!?!?!

At least once we found the issue it was an easy fix.

To many programs trying to update it to hijack it for their own benefit. I wanted systemd-resolved but it was getting overriden

@jfparis oh. I'd simply remove all the things touching it that shouldn't. If it's futsing about with resolv.conf when it shouldn't. What else is it doing? You can't trust that. So it has to go.
