In London, where can I buy an adapter to plug an EU power cable into a UK socket?
@hugh @quixoticgeek most supermarkets or pharmacies large enough to sell travel products. I'm fairly sure the typical "GO Travel" rack has a few EU to UK ones along with many UK to other.
@mjr @quixoticgeek Good shout actually :) Hadn't thought of that!
@quixoticgeek use a small stick to press down inside the ground hole of the socket and you can insert the EU plug like normal. I’ve done this a lot but not responsible for the consequences. :)
@hbons yeah, I'd rather not do anything too dangerous...
@quixoticgeek I remember Boots pharmacy sometimes having them. Poundland and the like are also worth a look.
@quixoticgeek Boots perhaps? I've bought travel adapters there before.
@quixoticgeek interesting. I find all my answers apply to two decades ago.
@hardingar yeah. That's kinda were I'm at too.
@quixoticgeek Argos or WHSmith might be your best bet. Or John Lewis maybe?
