`htop` on my new server only shows a single process.
@th you have more room in cache on that processor than I had HDD twenty years ago
@phooky 40MB of L3 cache per socket is only 1.25MB per thread. That's barely a floppy!
@th win 95 came on 13 floppies. At one floppy per thread, you could install it from cache and still have room for slackware on the same socket

@djsundog @phooky modern DRAM is so challenging to initialize that the cpu runs in Cache-As-RAM (CAR) mode until it the x86 firmware blob has finished link training.
