Oh for fucks sake. 2 work days spent trying to fix a network issue. Eventually fixed by writing "2" to a file in /proc. Fnnnggh

@kramse 25 years as a sysadmin and it's the first time I've had to dive into that bit of arp. Am actually pleased at the quality of documentation for it out there.

I found out one odd day that a DNS server responded to DNS queries on the broadcast address! It was OpenBSD, and apparently according to spec.

@kramse now to work out why Linux bridge is doing what it's doing. It works. It does what I want it to do. It's just... I've not configured it yet, so it shouldn't work.
