Oh look, some #ukulele folks are appearing in the fediverse. Does anyone know of some good videos or online lessons for someone who is a newbie (like, started from zero 3 weeks ago newbie) who really likes fingerpicking/classical guitar style playing? I think it's considered a more advanced skill because all the tutorials I'm finding are way to fast/advanced for me to follow, but I'd like to try to start concentrating on this style early, but I kinda need lessons that are at least doable.
well, not for free. Basically I'd recommend the Ukulele books of Peter Bursch (german legend) …
But it's in DE.
I don't know if there are online lessons as well.
Some very short according videos from the kids book :) are on yt https://www.youtube.com/results?sp=mAEB&search_query=Peter+Bursch’s+Kinder-Ukulelenbuch
@holly i don’t know if it will work with your time zone but Old Town School of Folk Music has online classes! And they do private lessons, too.
@holly You mean something like this?

"Scar Tissue" (by Red Hot Chili Peppers)
@guido Too hard! And too much strumming :/
Ooh, here we go! This is exactly the sort of stuff I want to play on the #ukulele But I'm think I'm going to work through the Brad Bordessa book (and get that aerobics book) before I try these so I can used to moving my hands up and down the fretboard without getting lost like I do now. https://youtu.be/nUCvXzSncHs
