Actually those buttons are probably just a placebo anyway. No need to press them.

@randynose That's definitely true in NYC where many of the "beg buttons" are not even connected, although some of the crosswalk buttons in the Neteherlands will start countdown timers and other things that indicate that they are wired into something.

Ah, nice! That's what I often do now. Sometimes I use a knee, I did that even before this when my hands were busy. So, I'd like to request such a sticker with the guy using a knee (otherwise same posture).

The original Amsterdam crosswalk signs are promoting unsafe behaviour and need to be updated.
