Weekend project: Turning pallets into shop furniture.

Follow

Project 2: pallet crate with divider and handles.

Two of the sides are cut from pre-assembled pallet pieces and the bottom of the crate is even more pallet. Be sure to sand the handles well and verify that the wood is branded with *HT* (Heat Treated) rather than *MB* (Methyl-Bromide).

Project 3: a mini-pallet for a monitor stand. The sanding took much longer than the construction.

@th I think your pallet lumber is substantially higher quality than the pallets we see here in usania

@eqe our next door neighbor receives at least one new pallet per week and they tend to be excellent quality, so we grab them when they are dumped on the street.

@th looks really nice! I wish I had space for wood working equipment here.

@th you're talking yourself into a tiny forklift

@phooky If we get a tiny lift we'll have to put `DO NOT FORKLIFT` stickers everywhere to avoid the temptation to misuse it.
