So at the Titan Missile Museum tour today, we looked at the file cabinet that contained codes to verify the authenticity of nuclear launch orders, and I was like, surely these cabinets weren’t secured by combination padlocks that can easily be shimmed with an aluminum can? I asked during Q&A and was told I was correct, but the tour guide didn’t know which type of locks were used.

@yaelwrites it seems that if an adversary is inside your silo, you have other problems than them picking the lock or copying your 8" floppies.

Didn't Richard Feynman make a hobby out of picking the locks on these file cabinets? I think he used to play pranks by moving people's top secret files around to other people's file cabinets :thisisfine: :blob_popcorn:
