Hey friends, Drew Fustini just got on mastodon.. go follow him! @pdp7

I'm trying a new drug today and I can't get "I want a new drug" by Huey Lewis and the News out of my head.

I suppose this isn't so bad, compared with the other side effects on the package insert.

Really appreciating the accurate PDP-11 minicomputer racks in _Control_. Too bad you can't toggle in programs on the front panels.

Openstreetmap is reaching the point that it is just more information rich and beautiful than google maps and that is awesome

"For centuries, Islamic designers and craftsmen have made geometric patterns just by drawing straight lines and circles with a compass and straight edge... Tilemaker lets you build layers of lines and circles, mimicking their actions. As you experiment drawing different intersections of line segments and circles you will discover new patterns, just as they did!"

This (free) app is super fun and it seems it was created to share a bit of Islamic culture/history.

Hot tip for anyone who likes to edit #OpenStreetMap:

The next version of the web based editor used on osm.org is so much better than the current version.

You can use it by clicking this link: preview.ideditor.com/master/

Also: You can help relief efforts in disaster stricken areas by mapping unmaped areas in those places. See missingmaps.org/

If you die with more than the regulation 3 browser tabs open, St Peter sighs deeply, sits you down in front of a laptop, and watches as you go through every single open tab to resolve its karmic threads.

If you have more than 100 open tabs the process is exactly the same except he makes more and more exaggerated sighs the longer you take.

More than 500 and he Instagrams you with amusing captions as you do it.

More than 1000 and you just get booted back to Earth - it's simpler for everyone.
