@calcifer @thegibson Another aspect of this, as I've had it described to me: Governments are a tool and if you surrender using or being involved in them, the people who want to hurt you will absolutely come in and make use of it to do so. That doesn't mean those systems are perfect, or aren't fairly corrupted already, but simply washing your hands of them on idealistic ideological grounds is willingly giving up large amounts of systemic control and power to your enemies.
